so, René Descartes was born on the 31st of March, 1596, and died on February 11, 1650. he is most known for his influence on philosophy, including several books, with two of them containing his famous quote, “I think, therefore I am.” (he was French so, in French: Je pense, donc je suis). he was also a scientist and mathamitition, and he developed the cartesian coordinate system.

he also is known as the father of analytical geometry, and connected algebra to geometry, which eventually lead to the discovery of infinitesimal calculus & analytics. he also played a big part in the scientific revolution! he discovered all these philosophy thingies because he started by denying everything, even his own existence! he also went to the University of Poitiers, faras, and Heiden university. that is basically all René Descartes did! or… is it… renè Descartes…(check the accent) 😉
