NASA’s TESS mission discovered its first circumbinary planet, a world orbiting two stars instead of one. Named TOI 1338 b, it’s nearly the size of Saturn and orbits its stars every 95 days.
the two stars orbit each other and consist of a red dwarf and a sun-like star. together, they form an eclipsing binary, which means that the two stars go around each other from our point of view. if you lived on TOI 1338 b, you would see the stars eclypse every 15 days! cool!
