Hello! This is Ethan! Here is a recap of the week. I did EMF and Brilliant, and I kept learning about calculus. This week, I had my book club meeting on Monday to finish reading Endling. I also did swimming lessons on Monday and taekwondo lessons on Saturday. I started doing Christmas decorations this week (FINALLY) and created everything out of origami! My writing has improved, and I like to do research papers these days. I recorded a music video at my orchestra, and it will go online in a few weeks.
To start the week, I dropped off some homemade chocolate chip cookies (that I made) to our neighbour. I learned how to evaluate limits. Then I taught my mom about it! This is a note I got back from our neighbour, Jane, about the cookies. I started a new way of scheduling, on paper! That way, I can remember what I have to do without looking on the computer. I also know what I have to focus on today, because I have my schedule sorted by priority. I did my violin homework. I made this lunar lander game! Check it out here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/461592194/ Here is the code: I crashed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wrote a research paper about rogue earth, something that we do NOT want to happen. Check it out here: https://www.howtodostuffwithethan.com/rogue-earth/ Every day of the week, I did the daily Brilliant problem! This one was about parallellellololethingies and area. (Parolelagromes? Parelalolograms? Parallellolegrams? Paralellograms? Parallellograms? Parallllelelelelothingamabobs! ) Every day of the week, I did a little bit of EMF! This one was about ratios! I made a 2 player asteroids game! Check it out here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/462173554/ Here is SOME of the code. I started working on a video about solving limits. I learned about the history of video games, because I like to make classic video games, like Asteroids, or Tetris, or Lunar Lander. I wrote about the history of video games. Check it out: https://www.howtodostuffwithethan.com/the-very-brief-history-of-video-games/ I was browsing YouTube, and I found this video on WIRED, about the world record of skipping a stone on the water. Here is my daily schedule. The red thing in the background is my arm 🙂 ( O.o OoPs, I just found out that it was a tumbler.) I learned about the double slit experiment. I then wrote on my blog about the history of video games. Check it out: https://www.howtodostuffwithethan.com/the-very-brief-history-of-video-games/ Here is my video about limits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIK4HbxZKHE&t To end the week, I started doing some Christmas decorations. 🙂
