This was a busy weekend of hosting for us, which was unusual because we typically spend the weekend quietly just the three of us. But it was great fun having friends and family around and great for Ethan to learn about hosting people.
It was a bit dry out so we headed out to play for a bit. There was a huge group of seagulls on the field, which is unusual. It looked like they were eating, so we thought they were eating the worms that were coming out of the ground due to the rain.
Dong Eun started preparing dinner and first up was jap-chae noodles. These are Korean potato noodles with veggies. Usually, there’s some meat but this one was all veg.

Now it was time for Ethan to help make some brownies for the evening’s dessert.
It was my parents, my cousin, his two daughters and us for dinner. The girls hadn’t had this kind of Korean food so it was very new to them. One of the girls didn’t seem to like it much.

And when everyone had left, we read some history. Ethan was quite interested in the events during WWI and WWII.
And that was our day! Ethan is learning every day, whether it’s evident or not. That’s the great thing about being an unschooler…the learning never stops.
