We went jogging again this morning and Ethan was really into it today. He was jogging pretty much from when we got outside until we reached the totem pole at Ambleside Beach. Spending the morning outside together has been a great way to spend time as a family, especially when the weather is as beautiful as it was today. I feel truly grateful that we decided to pull Ethan out of school.

Morning

We went jogging in the morning down by the beach, then spent some time playing there.

After we got home, Ethan and Dong Eun went grocery shopping as we had a family dinner planned with my sister, parents and my cousin and his family. Ethan was excited that his cousins (age 10 and 12) were coming over.

Afterwards, Ethan worked on some origami designs of his own. He made a 3D diamond for Dong Eun, then worked on a table, a train, a talking face, his own variation of an origami fidget toy, and a house.

Afternoon

Ethan enjoys math, so he worked on some multiplication problems, mostly multiplying single digits with double digit numbers.

He asked me to write out some multiplication problems for him to do for tomorrow.

He tried to make an infinity cube from instructions he found on YouTube, but was having trouble with it because the tape wouldn’t stick properly to the wooden blocks he was using.

Since he made quite a few origami designs, he wanted to share how to make them on his YouTube channel, so he made five new videos. Here’s one of them about how to make an origami house…

Evening

After dinner, he went out to play with his cousins and met one of his best friends from school. They all played together until it got dark out.

After, Ethan worked on his daily observation and also filled in his bullet journal for the day.
