The Hubble space telescope has made the first detection of water in the atmosphere of a planet 110 ly away orbiting in the habitable zone of a star 35% the size & luminosity of the sun. K2-28b, which is eight times the size of the Earth, is the first planet outside of the solar system with liquid water detected in the atmosphere. Using Hubble data, scientists analyzed the starlight coming through the planet’s atmosphere. the molecular structure of the planet found traces of water vapor in the atmosphere.WOW! VERY COOL!
