Already through the middle of August. Summer has certainly flew by this year. Here’s what mostly happened this week, as we didn’t capture photos of a few days.
August 11

We were able to land a camping spot right in front the water at Porteau Cove.
We invited Nico and Paulo’s family up to spend the day with us. Lots of fun, as usual.
August 12

The tide goes way out at Porteau Cove.
We only stayed one night and once we got home, Ethan was busy decompressing from the trip.
August 17

Our building had a yard sale again this year and Ethan wanted to be in charge of selling. He did a great job and it was a good way for him to learn to engage with people in this way.
With the money we earned from the yard sale, we headed to the local BC SPCA.
He was a little distracted by the animals, as we all tend to be.
Ethan donated $50 from the yard sale to the BC SPCA and got a set of cat ears. Well worth it to help out the animals.
We spent the rest of the day playing board games.
Ethan beat me at Scrabble!!
And that was this week. We’re looking ahead to the start of the SelfDesign school year, which starts August 25.
