This week, I did a LOT of coding. I kept learning about derivatives, and I did EMF (about decimals) and Brilliant (about logic)!

To start the week, I did some math, this time about derivatives!
I learned about the double pendulum.
The double pendulum is a very simple thing (two pendulums attached to each other) but demonstrates chaos, meaning that if you release it from this position, it does this, and if you releease it from a slightly different position, it does something completely different!
Here is an example of a double pendulum.
here is a different kind of chaos, 3 particles that had very similar starting conditions led to many different paths.
I started to learn how to code a double pendulum.
here is the code, in Java.
and here it is running!
here is another demo about how double pendulums are chaotic. the two pendulums were only 1 degree apart…
but lead to wildly different paths.
I did some EMF, this was about subtracting, adding, multiplying, and dividing decimals.
I did Brilliant, this was about logic.
I learned about Denmark, for my CIATCOTW (Color In All The Countries In The World) project.
I used processingJs to code a snake game.
and I made it generate a maze!
here is the end result.
here is an animation of the sun rising.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I created a flocking animation. a flocking animation is basically how birds flock together. each dot is a bird, or “boid”, because that is what they are called. here is a video about these boids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjKINQigAE4
and here is my simulation: https://editor.p5js.org/ekwan/full/HtW6AZ4RP
I made my snake game in HTML to run in the browser.
I made a Discord bot!
Here is the code.
I created a bee animation!
