This week, Ethan’s auntie came to visit from South Korea so Ethan has spent a lot of time with her.
July 14

Ethan wanted to make a welcome poster for his auntie. He chose a photo of them together from when he was in Korea last year.

He added his own touches to the poster.

Her flight was arriving early so we were at the airport eagerly awaiting her to come out from the arrival area.

All together for the next few weeks!

We went for a jog and walk along the beach this morning.
Ethan had a dentist appointment and got to play some Pac Man. We don’t allow video games so this is a treat for him every six months.
Lunch at A&W!
A fun night of playing UNO together.
July 17

Dim sum with Ethan’s grandparents.
And still doing his math.

Playing outside with Kal and his little brother.
He made some Mobius strips in the shape of hearts.

July 18

Learning about complements in math.
The cereal box had a word search.
Ordering the playing cards for fun.
He was listening to this audiobook. He often listens to audiobooks while doing things in his room.
July 19

Hiked up to Quarry Rock today.
Still had energy left to hike up the slide.
He invented a marble game to play with his auntie.
The object is to flick your set of marbles into the square.

Sushi for dinner!
July 20

Reading in the morning before heading out for a jog.
We noticed a large school of tiny fish in the water.
Showing his auntie where the fish are.

After our jog, we walked along the beach to go for brunch.

After we got home, Ethan made a new version of his marble game. Every time your marble hits a card or a car, the object you hit gets removed but you need to put your marble back at the start.
Heading out for dinner. We bought one of those flying rings. Fun just to throw and catch.
Ethan was skeptical about the non-dairy ice cream. He still wasn’t a fan but it was quite good.
Back home and another version of the marble game.
It was an eventful week. Ethan also had swimming lessons and still did his math and science, along with reading classic books. He loves spending time with his auntie and we’re all so happy that she’s here to visit.
