Hello! This is Ethan! Here is my summary of the week: I started another meeting of the book club, with 5 people. I made a Google Calendar with all the stuff I have to do. I did a LOT of math, using MANY more websites, like catch up math, and Gizmos!I also, I used Discovery Education, and BrainPop, and Mystery Science, All of which I use when learning math, science, and Language arts, AND I LOVE USING IT! I use Science News for learning language arts too. As for my classes, I am doing swimming, violin, and Black Belt Training on Saturdays. I also go Jogging every day. This week, I did a lot of coding using Python.

- For my book club, we were supposed to create a floor plan of the place that the main character lives. Here is my version…
This is a really cool project for the book. It develops your ability to visualize and “see” what you read. Who came up with the idea?
So great that you do more than just discuss and answer questions about the book. I am sure your creative projects will generate a lot of discussion.
If you run out of ideas remember there are so many ways to share what you know and think:
I did the 8th grade course challenge today, to find out what I have to work on. I know all of this, BUT I didn’t notice some negative symbols, and I got 83%. Now I need to work on calculus, and to do that, I need to work on pre-calculus.
Absolutely, you have to have strong fundamentals. You are so motivated and inspired by Calculus, i hae no doubt you will do what it takes to get yourself ready. No rush or pressure, you are still in grade 7, don’t forget.
- I was learning about balancing chemical equations, and luck would have it that I got a problem about just that on Brilliant!
I used to love balancing equations in chemistry, but I am afraid I have forgotten almost all of it…it really goes to show “if you don’t use it, you loose it” keep practicing Ethan.
Here is the thing I taught my mom about balancing chemical equations.
Reteaching again, the best way to really learn something in my opinion (I know I say that all the time) but you really extend your learning by reteaching and you do it so often, in many different ways.
Like I said…..your blog on vacuum decay.
read it here: https://www.howtodostuffwithethan.com/what-is-vacuum-decay/
I worked on Science News every day, all week. Here is one thing I did.
It looks like you are finding a lot of ways to do Language Arts which you enjoy. Are you satisfied with these ways or do you still want more resources or an actual program? I think the new Book Club you helped start is another awesome stretch and opportunity to flex your reading and discussion muscles…are there areas you would like to strengthen more? See below
It sounds like you are having a blast and here is even more possibilities for fun:
